I. INTRODUCTION
Before registering for the HEC Business Game, you must read the rules below (hereinafter called the “Official Rules”). By completing the registration form, you accept the conditions of the Official Rules in their entirety. Furthermore, you accept that any decision of the HEC Business Game staff concerning the HEC Business Game shall be definitive.
II. THE HEC BUSINESS GAME
-
The HEC Business Game (hereafter referred to as “HBG”) is a business game organized by HEC Paris students.
-
The purpose of the HBG is to familiarize students with the reality of the work that they will face in their professional life. Four different challenges are organized, with the support of Corporate Partners.
-
The Game is based on an interactive economic simulation where the participants evolve within a defined competitive environment. The decisions made by the participants will affect their level of success.
-
The Game will take place on the 8th and 9th April, 2022.
-
The final results will be announced at the game itself, on the 9th of April, after the last Challenge.
-
An Online version of the event (referred to as "Online Event") will be developped by the HEC Business Game staff in order to ensure that the event will be held in all circumstances.
III. PARTICIPATION
-
Only individuals who are officially enrolled in a school or a university of higher education are eligible for participation at the HEC Game (hereafter, they will be referred to as “the Students”).
-
Please note that this year, due to COVID-19 difficulties, the HEC Business Game staff may impose some requirements in order to ensure a proper event. These requirements may include negative COVID-19 test result certificate, temperature declaration prior to the event or any other specific documents.
-
Participation in the HBG is subject to compliance with French regulations regarding COVID-19.
-
Participation in the HBG is subject to online electronic acceptance of the Official Rules and of the documentation concerning the assignment of the intellectual property and image rights.
-
A financial contribution of 35 euros, 40 euros or 55 euros (for Fast Track round applicants, First round applicants, and Second round applicants, respectively) is required per person. We will provide you with all the food and beverages you need during the two days. A special rate is available to participants for rooms at the Hotel Best Western Plus Paris Saclay. Prices will be further communicated by email to accepted students. Please note that, in both cases, there will be no refunds. In the case of an Online Event, the financial contribution may be lowered by the HBG staff.
IV. REGISTRATION
-
The Students must register alone.
-
After being selected, Students can indicate another person to form teams of 2 (hereafter referred to as “Teams”).
-
It is imperative that every field be completed with valid answers. Incomplete registration forms will not be considered as eligible. The HBG team retains the right to retract and disqualify a candidate and his teammate if the information given in the above mentioned Registration Form is incorrect or invalid.
-
At the time of Registration, the Students will be requested to accept the Official Rules. Failure to do so will make submitting the Registration Form impossible.
-
The Students must provide a valid personal e-mail address.
-
The HEC Business Game reserves the right to verify the validity of the information provided by the Students at the time of the Registration, at any time during the HBG, and if deemed necessary, to request copies of the identity cards and/or student cards of the school or university mentioned by the Students.
-
Students can only be members of one Team. The presence of any Student in multiple teams will automatically result in the disqualification of every team in which s/he participated.
-
If a team member decides to leave his/her Team, the Team will be disqualified. Only extreme cases (pregnancy, accidents, hospitalization, etc.) will be accepted. The HEC Business Game reserves the right to define an extreme case.
-
Students must register under the first name and surname appearing on their passport/identity card.
V. USE OF THE RESULTS BY THE HR TEAMS OF THE SPONSORS
The Human Resources Managers of the sponsors of the HEC Business Game may, at their full discretion, use the Results of their challenge.
